Firefly created a distinct identity for the Copyright Office, Government of India, built around ownership, protection and national character.
The main task was to design a logo that could represent copyright in a clear and approachable way. It also needed the authority expected from an official Government of India identity.
At the centre of the symbol is the familiar copyright mark. Two flowing forms in saffron and green appear to hold and protect it. Together, they suggest care, support and the protection of creative work. The blue copyright mark adds contrast while keeping the core idea clear.
The identity was paired with the national emblem to establish its official role. A restrained wordmark balances the flowing symbol and helps the identity work across formal uses.
Firefly extended the logo to official business cards and the copyright certificate. The cards used a clean white and muted gold system. The certificate combined the identity with the national emblem, a soft Indian pattern, a large watermark and clear information fields.
The result is a visual system that feels official without becoming cold. It gives the Copyright Office a recognisable identity while respecting the importance of its role in protecting authorship and creative ownership.
