The VLSI Design 2004 poster turns a large volume of technical information into a clear and distinct conference communication.
Firefly designed the event poster for the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay. The poster promoted VLSI Design 2004, an international conference covering VLSI design and embedded systems.
The main challenge was the amount of content. Research areas, invited talks, tutorials, speakers, sponsors and key dates had to fit within one poster without losing order.
A strong lime green and grey split creates the main structure. The oversized “vlsi design 2004” title cuts across both fields, giving the event a bold visual identity. Smaller content is arranged in clear columns, allowing different types of information to remain distinct.
The IIT mark, conference dates and venue are placed within the brighter upper section. Detailed academic content sits within the quieter grey field below. This balance gives the poster both visibility and function.
The result is an information-heavy poster that remains organised, recognisable and suited to a technical academic conference.
